Are there any passenger restrictions? We are a family friendly boat and our goal is to give the best experience possible to people of all ages and walks of life. However, passengers of The Magic Merman are loaded from the beach and need to be capable of climbing 3 vertical stairs. Guests will likely get a little wet when beach loading. Due to the nature of the ocean, our trip is not reccomended for people with back or neck problems, or people recovering from recent surgery. We also don't recommend the trip for pregnant women or children under the age of 5.
-
Do you cancel in bad weather?IF WE HAVEN'T CALLED YOU, PLEASE SHOW UP ON TIME FOR YOUR TOUR! The weather reports found online come out of Honolulu and are often inaccurate for Maui. If the weather looks bad, don’t worry! Most weather systems pass through Maui quickly and are limited to certain areas of the island. All of our destinations are weather permitting and our captain may choose another location that is more suitable. In the event that we do have to cancel, we will call you and give you the option to reschedule or for a full refund. We will never take you out in unsafe conditions.
-
Will I see whales or dolphins?During Whale Season (December 15th - April 5th) we can guarantee whale sightings, or you will be welcome back out on a trip for free! Dolphins are always an exciting treat and we often see these intelligent marine mammals enroute to different snorkel locations or on our whale watches. Our captains love to make the most out of dolphin visits, often letting them ride the bow wake of the boat! We are most likely to experience a dolphin sighting on our morning deluxe tours, although sometimes we do get lucky on the Afternoon Adventure trip!
